These do me right on cold days. They're unbelievably light. Light enough that when I got the package I got all heated thinking that they had either left the boots out or shipped the wrong thing. Lighter than most sneakers even. Ugly, but I kind of butt that.

I grew up in northern Ohio, then moved to Tennessee. It doesn't ever get cold enough here to wear any more, and if I get chilly, I just pedal harder. I commute every single day, rain, shine or snow, in the same winter getup-
short sleeve shirt
hoody
wool socks
Converse All Stars
shorts or shants
Balaclava and mittens if it's really cold out
(I've got a uniform at work, and a laundry service, so it works out great.)
People down South are the biggest p*ssies on earth when it comes to the cold, and everybody seems to think I'm either crazy or a DUI for cycling to and from work in the winter. It's the summers here that can kill you, though.
I <3 clothing, too.
