hey whats up. i was planning on participating in monster track but i came across a problem with my front chain ring. apparently its not the standard (or more common) 130cm (or mm i think), its a 110. so i cant find one between 46 or 48 teeth. currently im pushing a 52 x 17 free wheel and a friend of mine loaned me a rear wheel. i dont have enough dinero to buy the propper chain ring at the momment. basically i need a smaller chain ring 110 (cm or mm not sure) with 46 or 48 teeth. if someone can please help i will appreciate it dearly. even a crappy spare bike u have line around. i jst need it til sunday. i live and work in NYC, im not going anywhere with our bike. im a bike messenger like most so people know who i am. well if u can help or know of someone that could, please right me a private message. thanks for reading....

Bolt Circle Diameter - The center to center distance in mm between two adjacent chainring mounting holes multipled by 1.7.

why not use a different size cog? well...i guess going to a 52x20 or something would seem kind of ******** (20t chosen at random). i mean, that's a pretty big cog.

that's just being a dick....and a bike nerd. I didn't know that at all. In fact, there's a lot I don't know. Of course, I'm not a messenger anymore. Oddly enough, I've learned more about bikes since I've *been* a messenger. ....one of those "it takes time" things. "Bolt Circle Diameter"...hm. Learn something new every day.

I thought it was pretty common knowledge, and I guess I just expect bike messengers to know more about their bikes than an average rider.

judging by the list in the yellow hummer thread, a 19t cog would be about right.
