Stripping an 06 Pista

I see a number of threads on stripping decals off the chrome series Pista's, but I just got an 06. (I never liked the chrome; glad to skip it -- also my first fixie ever: I had a frame in my basement I planned to build out, but I just wasn't doing the work, so I finally broke down and bought the Pista. So far, loving it, although my knees do feel the hills.)

Anyway; anyone done decal removal on an 06? Is that going to mean stripping all the paint and repainting from scratch (which I want to do at some point anyway, because puke-green isn't my favorite color), or is there a way to just get the decals off?

decal removal involves stripper, because the decals are under clearcoat. so yes you'd have to strip the entire frame
