Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I've been a member of another forum long before I started frequently reading the SS/FG forum. It's pretty funny to contrast the posting trends between the two. Like here's a reply I see constantly in this forum but never anywhere else:

"oh man I thought the thread said 'the dry tumor in this forum.' and I was expecting a thread about cancer"

except usually instead of tumor/humor it is beer or some word associated with alcohol. Those posts always make my day.

I love it when I pat myself on the back. It gives me a legitimate sense of accomplishment.
