Langster Noob - Lock Ring & Fixie Cog?
I bought a used '05 Langster and want to increase the gear to 48x14 on the fixed side. My bike was second hand and has nothing but threads on the left side. I am riding the 48x16 on the freewheel side.
Do I need 1/8 or 3/32 cog or what? Do I need a lock ring? Thanks!

Compare the width of the chain to that on a road bike, or better yet, measure it. And YES, you need a lockring.

You need 1/8th
You need a lock ring
48x14 is a pretty large gear. You must be a beast...or your knees will be hurting shortly

also, 48x14, seems reeeeeally impractical for anything other than the track
