Bianchi Chromo Lite

I'm looking at purchasing a Bianchi Chromo Lite frame. I did a search and didn't find anything specifically on this frame. Anyone have any experience with this frameset? Good, bad, just average? Thanks!

They were sold in the US... last year was 2001 I think. They were sold as frames only so most shops only special ordered them... that's probably why you don't see too many of them at this point. Retail was around $600.

Thanks everyone, I'll pm jrowe. This is a used frame, 2003, it's been raced but not abused, seems solid.

No, not anything like a road frame. 76 degree seat tube, high BB, a wonderful frame.

You can't go wrong with it--it's a totally different beast than the Pista sold today. These were hand-made in Italy. They were only sold as a frameset, and came with Campy record BB and headset. Mine has full C-Record. They stopped selling them in North America after 2001.

This is an old pic, but you get the idea:

I love that D2 but youd have to get it valet'd if you rode it to the bar

Realistically, the bouncers would probably VIP the bike and make me wait outside for it all night.

It does come with track ends--that picture's not right. In any case, that's the D2 Pista Carbon. Below is the D2 Pista Alu; not steel, obviously, but closer in spirit to the last of the steel Reparto Corse Pistas. The only price I've found is 1100 euros for the frameset, and it can be ordered custom fit apparently.

The trouble with pics is you can't see the paint job pearlese, this is one nice frickin' bike, I am so... I'm feeling very fortunate to have been given this opportunity, that's all I can say.
Question:
Would Celeste bar tape be too much of a good thing?

Bikes: Cannondale CAAD8/Record 10s, Felt DA700 Chorus 10s,

In order to maintain domestic harmony I've decided to pass on this bike. It's seems to be a descent deal, I have nothing to do with this sale, here is the build sheet and the sellers email in case anyone is interested. kandjgyger@netzero.com

55cm cromo lite pista (celeste); Cranks: Campy Record 165mm with 47 chainrings; Hubs: Record high flange 28f/32r; Wheels: Velocity elite pro tubular with Continental 250’s & I will also throw in an un-glued 250; Bars: TTT 40cm with Salsa stem Chain: Izumi model 5; Cogs: Euro Asia steel $675.00
