i did a few searches and found campy headsets take 5/32 bearings, except for the chorus which takes 5/32 on top and 3/32 on the bottom, right?

my campy headset is brinelled {indexed}

i am going to repack it with new bearings and see if that helps at all. i dont which campy headset i have though. all it says on it is "campagnolo brev intl". it is mid 80's. anyone know for sure which bearing size i need?

if that doesnt work i spose i will need a new headset, and i am trying to decide between a cartridge bearing headset, or another loose ball headset...opinions?

thanks for any insight
dc

I always try to take a few bearings to the shop with me, otherwise I almost always get the wrong size.
New bearings, a cleaning and a liberal amount of grease (Phil's works just fine for me) should do the trick.
