Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

dude, at least you don't live in portland. it rains all the time...in may, it rains a little. june through august, very little. september...a little. after that, back to just raining buckets until may.

i'm not complaining...it's something you get used to, but if rain isn't your thing, just consider yourself lucky to not be here.

Bikes: I built the Bianchi track bike back up today.

Rain? Rain would be nice. I'm still stuck in the snow only when I commute, then nice while I work realm.

dude. you can't build a snowman out of rain. rain's no fun. snow can be no fun as well, but there are ways to have fun with snow that don't exist for rain...you just can't do some things.

but get used to rain, if you must. i've gotten used to riding bikes in all weather. when i lived in boise i rode in weather that was in the single digits (8 degrees, for example) many times. sucked at first, but i got used to it. summer heat....got used to that. boise also gets well above 100 degrees in the summer (when i moved back, for example).

Not so! We have had two days without rain this month and there is a good chance for another one on Monday. After that..... rain or showers until April.
