Question for Seattle area riders
I'm finally getting to visit Seattle later this month when my wife has an interview. Can any one tell me a good place to find something to ride while I'm there? We're going to be staying in Bellevue and I really like to be able to explore on two wheels. Thanks,

Here is a link to bike rental places in Seattle:
http://www.cascade.org/Community/rental.cfm I understand there are some nice rides on the east side and Mercer Island, although I haven't done it myself. If you want, you can actually bike one of the bridges across the lake to Seattle, I've been told. |
Montlake Bikes has rentals.
They're in Kirkland (adjacent to Bellevue) and in Seattle (just across Lake Washington). http://www.montlakebike.com/rentals.php Gregg's Cycle has rentals too but their Bellevue store doesn't. http://www.greggscycles.com/cartgeni...sp?category=28 Montlake Bikes in Kirkland is the only place on the Eastside I know of that rents bikes. Sammamish Valley Cycle in Redmond might. Bellevue Bike map here. http://www.onelesscarbellevue.org/su...bikewalk.shtml Considering the type of city Bellevue is, it's surprisingly bike friendly. You can ride across the I-90 bridge to Mercer Island and on to Seattle. The 520 bridge is cars only. |
