Does anybody else think it's funny that they call an Aluminum bike "Magnetic"?

Don't you think that by feeding the dead to the living and still somehow harvesting energy from humans, the machines in The Matrix are violating the laws of thermodynamics?

Haha, no. Here he would've been sentenced...
Europe (Britain, Germany and France) has a richer track history and more present success (AFAIK) than the US so I guess European opinions on track kit are relevant.

Apparently you missed the caveat in Morpheus's explanation...

The real question is, if they had the fusion, why would they even need all the elaborate machinery and such to enslave humanity? Or is that their actual goal, and not just a means to an end?

man, any mention of "fusion" in a movie is a complete explanatory cop-out. it's basically a one-word stand in for [blah blah blah science meets witchcraft that we can't explain so let's look for something to say]. they fuse dead people with living people and somehow wind up with more energy? BAH, I SAY, BAH!

Weren't we talking about european bike frames a moment ago?

There are a lot of really nice aluminum track frames out there. If you're looking in this price range, you might also check out Dolans which have a bit better track geometry. You can also check Siegler Imports for their CSK frames. They still have some from 2006 on deep discount. The CSK pursuit frame is pretty radical and a really nice ride. The only problem I've seen with it (and not an uncommon problem with aluminum track frames in general) is that there isn't clearance for bigger tires (25-28 mm). It's assumed you're riding track tires or track training tires (like Conti Sprinters) and nothing bigger.
