I splurged and ordered a pair tonight
I hope they come soon, I'm exited.
I'm probably never gonna want to take them off.

Just got a pair in XL, they're frickin great. They fit a size 38 waist FYI, very very stretchy. The chamois is pretty thin. Some reflective piping would be a bonus but oh well they'd look funny off the bike like that. Also not too warm, leggings are needed for the cold with these manpris. The Chrome store in SF has a changing room (the bathroom) and while there I got to look into the inner workings of the "factory"...it looks like they're working on a bunch of new stuff back there, much to look forward to.

I bought a pair a while ago and wear them frequently. Only thing for me is that the size medium is ever so slightly large around my waste even though I normally wear a 31-32. A belt is definetely mandatory for these shants.
But you don't even notice that you're wearing anything. They're a great fit in every other way. The pockets rule.

Thanks for the review and photos! I had been considering trying a pair of these, and really like the belt loops. I bought a pair of Prana climbng knickers at a clearance price at REI, and like them (for wear over bike shorts) but miss having real belt loops. I like to wear pouches on the belt to carry stuff.

Ira, what shop in Chicago carries them? I'd like to try some one before purchasing. Otherwise I am waiting for Under The Weather (https://www.under-the-weather.ca) to roll out their 2006 line. I tell ya those Canadians are easy going with their summer gear.

Just a stupid question.
I currently have Under the Weather's stuff. And I like being able to choose my own chamois.
But for the Chrome it already comes with thin layer. Do you have to wear underwear and then put on the shins or do you just wear them bare?

****ing hell, bike-specific clothing is such a rip off for what it is. I'll go down to an army&navy store and get the same thing for 1/3 of the price.

Christ everyone seems to love this magical $130 chamois sewn into some $10 shorts. How about buying one of those $2.50 chamois you find at car shows and supergluing it to the inside of some Dickies?
Also, I'm not serious.
