Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Happy Easter w/ pics

Today we celebrate the Holiday which commemorates Jesus' resurrection. I think that, in effort to apease our varied religious backrounds, we should just combine Easter with Groundhog Day.

Picture it........Jesus rolls away the stone from his Tomb and emerges.

Then, if he sees his shadow, we can predict 6 more weeks of winter.

Here are some appropriately inspirational bike related pics.

That's what St. Peter picks you up on when you get to the gates. He bucks you into heaven.

Is that a Milwaukee-only term? To "buck" someone when I was nine years old meant to give someone a lift on your bike. Hey, buck me St. Peter.

That meant the same thing in Minneapolis when I was growing up. Gimme a buck didn't mean a dollar, it meant a ride on your handlebars.
