Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Because it gives people a hard on to gripe about the parts on a stock bike not being of high enough standard for the mad skillz needed to commute to work.

The bike comes off the peg ready to ride.

Seriously, I feel bad for you. Kids like you had a rough time in school.

It's just funny what a tough guy you are behind your computer. Balls grow exponentially with the security of anonymity. Forums are supposed to be fun and informative, so take the stick out of your ass, unless it feels good up there.

I am done going back and forth with you as nothing gets settled arguing like school children.

nothing you've written is on topic. we were talking about your bike. then you got your feelings hurt because someone pointed out how your choice in bikes is merely a materialistc grab at identity. now here's the best part. instead of saying 'no, i wasn't asking what bike other people would like most so i could make sure not to get the bike that people don't like most' you 'insulted' me with what you thought were some pretty cutting remarks, like that i must get me ass kicked a lot, or (even better) that i wasn't popular in school!!!! hahaha.

i understand that i've rendered the statements down to their simplest forms, but i wouldn't say it has been done unfairly. if you do believe so, please demonstrate it. this would be done by further articulating your belief that your questions are valid, NOT by calling me names or implying that i am a *****.

anyhow, you still haven't addressed exactly why it is you cared what a bunch of complete strangers think is the best color for your trendy bicycle.

I am not to worried about the components. I say that now, like I did with my other bikes.

Seriously, I was just looking for something to train on, clean up my pedaling etc. Also figured it would be a good bike to jump into the whole fixed gear thing with. And it seems that most people who own it are happy with it.

I still say green, but that's just me. Though an all-chromed bike can be pretty pimp.

No problem, don't want to get involved in further pettiness so I pulled myself out.

Anyway, I heard somewhere that the chrome finish has the tendency of not holding up well (anyone else hear this?), though I like the "cleanliness" of it.

The green is nice in it's own way, but it makes me think of those green colored refrigerators of the '70s.

no re-sale green or avocado? If it makes you think of 70's fridges...it sounds like you're looking at the chrome one.

Yeah but maybe I can ride it with platforms, my lapels wide open, and a chain caught up in my chest hair.

Truth is the gang green appeals to me in an odd sort of way. Similiar to the so ugly it's cute thing maybe.

Yes, I am apparently a cumsicle, a ****** bag etc.

Don't knock the panther tattoos, they will look great when he is 80 and they are around his ribs instead of his shoulders.

Besides you know you want to be a radical awesome panther

The scary thing is he will more than likely make it to 80 or 90. Dickheads that get off making other people feel bad about themselves tend to live forever it seems.

Unfortunately true. The good ones seem to go early. If he talked to people's faces the way he talks on this forum I don't think he would be around too long.

Not at all.
And, finally, it seems as if people are starting to just outright ignore him.
