Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

He's alive and well, as far as I know. I'll let him know he's being sought.

Bikes: Too many to count

Isn't he living up in Boulder or something? Weird. After he won the gold medal in 84 seemed like his career never really took off the way many experts thought. I believe he finished off his career with Coors Light and then went into a normal hidden lifestyle. His brother Rishi was a pretty good pro mtn biker.

He says he's staying off bikeforums for a while because he wants to save some money. I guess the craigslist/ebay thread was just a little too tempting for him.
