after two flats at the 2nd checkpoint i was bummed and contemplated just heading home. glad i didn't. the ride out east with the checkpoint crew was sweet and the barbeque was awesome. good times.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. I almost puked beer and collard greens at the top of one hill. Some of you may have noticed, but I drank a little too much playing Full Metal Jacket at my checkpoint.

Damn… I can’t go sleep... only if I didn’t have that flat tyre… I would’ve smoked you all...

My apologies if I got any names wrong.

How long has Scotty been "out of town" now?

ch0mb0 06-18-06 06:04 PM

the race was great from beginning to end and the weather was awesome!
the jungle juice wasn't that bad either, after a few..

shishi 06-18-06 07:51 PM

who took the golf clubbing on 167th???

s_9 06-18-06 08:04 PM

boots.

evanyc 06-18-06 09:37 PM

OH! that's boots!? i'd met him but didn't know his BF pen name. yeah, that was ****ing lame. i was right behind him and saw the dude run out swing at him. i have to give him props for maintaining and staying upright, as well as not losing his **** on that dude. i was telling ninja about it a a checkpoint a boots rode up just then and showed us the damage to his front wheel - a bent spoke and out of true wheel which isn't bad considering. ninja definitely wasn't happy about it though.

boots has some ****ty alleycat luck! monster track banana peel accident and now this!

RedMenace 06-18-06 10:04 PM

yo. joe boots shreds my face off. that kid is awesome to the tenth degree, with his drunken wintertime bar hopping hijinks and trench helmet wearing manhattan street style...

rip it up boots! respect!

ImOnCrank 06-18-06 10:47 PM

F*ck yeah to boots. And he downs beers like an alleycat champ.

shishi 06-19-06 07:17 AM

Joe (boots) glad your ok. Evan and I were right behind you. That **** was outta cotrol.

mrRed 06-19-06 07:38 AM

yeah, I saw that as well. You (boots) went right around the cars, and I went left in the center of the lanes. All of a sudden I hear yelling and see those little ****s smash your front wheel with a club and you kept on riding. Badass.

Also, is there any chance of Roz hooking it up with that ridiculous veggie burger recipe??? Those things were delicious.

i dont think they were little. i think it was some grown ass men.

and yeah, those veggie burgers were ridiculously good. i'm pretty sure they weren't vegan though, but i had to throw a bit of caution to the wind.
