Can't think of a good thread title...

I'm sure I'm gonna catch a **** load of heat for this thread, but oh well, I thought it was interesting and worthy of people's attention.
I'm not coming down on either side, I'm simply passing on the information like I was taught to do in journalism school.

i can see why don might have an issue with sem. nothing i saw in sem's galleries were more than just decent, and some of it looked amateur at best. i did however, like the fork below:

WHAT?!?! Amateur at best? The guy doesn't use decals! 95% of stuff you see there is entirely paint. Whatever you can dream up, he can paint it. I urge you to take a closer look at his gallery.

If you see something that's at an 'amateur' level, it's probably because the customer wanted it that way. After dealing with Dave for my past 5 projects, I can say he is extremely talented and is completely professional.

Even if the paint was "chippy", skipping out on payment to a small business is ****. Especially when you own a small business yourself. Karma.

FOr Real people that pull that **** suck and it happens way too often. The company i work for is really good freinds with our lawyer because of people who think its ok not to pay up.

I think this thread needs more attention than it is garnering.
I blame my title.
Sorry.

we should probably refrain from commenting too much on stuff we are somewhat clueless about. maybe we can talk about the paintjobs, and how don walker is a nice guy, but let's not speculate about the nature of the apparent dispute between dw and this painter.

If you have problem with the quality of someone's work, you point it out to him... not disappear without paying the guy.

DW won't respond.

look, we don't know what happened. Don is not accountable to us just because we're bored at work and get together on a message board and call ourselves a bike community.

let the issue be between him and Sem; or let it die.

You don't open another can of worms like Don just did expecting the issue to end right there. It doesn't stand to reason.

If you give that much of a ****, you should really go find Sem and get his side of the story. You're extrapolating a lot from 1 or 2 lines of image caption. Go get several paragraphs and maybe I'll care.
