Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I could be down for some Malaysian curry. Did the 5B tour last year. I think it's a once every few years kind of thing. The 2 hour wait in the cold rain before the start of the race last year was pretty brutal. Though, the entertainment value of seeing people spontaneouly eat it for no reason maybe makes it worth the wait. You should register legitimately, Peter. You don't want to get arrested again.

I ride this once every few years, first one was 91 and last one was 2003. Registered by mail, waiting for package, don't want to compare NYPD accommodations with METRA's . Eddiebrennan was down for lunch, but have not heard from him.

btw: Msngr, you have the MnG shirt?

If I can get the insurance to fix my bike this week yes (hit by car the sunday before)
If not, may ride it SS or geared.

NO not going to ride 5 buro on the a brakeless kalavinka....too much braking involved for my knees.

So how about lunch in Chinatown on Sat, all out of towners and cool locals. Show me how things have changed in the last 4 years.

I prefer the Chinese food in Flushing. But there are gems in Chinatown like House of Vegetarian.

Funny thing is that growing up in manhattan, the flushing crowd was alien to us. The only reason I went to flushing was to go to flushing meadow park and fly U-control model airplanes by the lake. The middle east crowd has since taken over the "circles" and they fly big fighter kites there instead.

Since my tummy is aching for the Malaysian place in the little tunnel between bowery and eliz (off east of canal) do I get to call the location?

Crossing my fingers that my reg package comes in this week.

WHo is riding and where should we meet up before or during the ride?

Brean, what is the pooperscooper on the MnG shirt you had for me? Do I have to wait til after I'm cleared?
