Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Bikes: Panasonic 900 pounds o' heavy ass steel

here's mine, bought it used off a buddy with a stripped rear hub, bought a new one from Tony and relaced my first wheel the week before monster track, been riding fixed since and wouldn't want it any other way; unfortunately I popped two spokes hitting a big pothole, so it's been outta commision for 2 days or so, hopefully have time to fix it in the next day or two

but lets be honest, we all love our bikes for a reason, it's a great bike, and thats something to be proud of today, not many guys have the pride and love for what they do, and Tony does, haha, as a broke ass college kid, I'm happy to know if my moneys going out the door, it's going to somebody like him; if u read this, keep up the good work, and congrats on the kid

I totally agree. I want to get a white Jamie Roy with all black everything else. I think that would look sweeter than honey.

Bikes: IRO Mark V Pro, No-name brand full-suspension mtb (heavy as a tank, but takes a thrashing)

Probably a dumb question, are those hyperspeed tires any good? They came on mine and seem decent enough, I guess, but I'm no big skidder or anything.

New wheels demanded the black tape; Cinelli Cork is oh-so-sweet. I love the bike this way.

Nope, they're blue deep V's. I think I asked Tony if he had a blue King headset, but he didn't have one in stock so I went w/ the silver one. I did meet a guy in CP riding w/ blue spray painted mtb rims. His bike was also covered in Dora stickers that his young daughter, aka his design consultant, put on. He was doing wheelies and stoppies so I guess the stickers helped.

Hey, seeing as how the headbadge on the IRO is a white belt, the archetypal hipster stereotype, is Tony trying to make fun of us?

Agreed. They're like magnets for cactus thorns. And I mean the big, flared, rock-hard evil kind of thorn. Hold the tread between your thumb and forefinger-- they feel like paper compared to the usual kevlar-reinforced tire.

i'm looking for a set of new tires for the mark v.
the hypersonic on the rear is wearing thin. i have a set of Vredestein Volante 700x23 i could throw on but i kinda wanted to see how a bigger tire felt. how big a tire do you think my 53 mark v has clearance for?

That bike looks so good!

Did you go with the standard wheels, or the delux wheels?

I need more pics of that beauty.
