Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

mark bulgier is a champ for hosting all that stuff, and people end him stuff all the time, so his archive is growing.

yesterday i rode with a guy who had one of those mondonico frames. he said he bought it new 11 years ago, and has been riding it ever since.

i drooled over it the whole time. really nice bike with a classic look.

awesome. that's my frame (the one in the back with the ribbed tubing). That's the most information I've ever seen about montagner frames before.

i didn't know the model name until now, just the tubing: columbus sl... this is the one i got at goodwill rusted to crap with 105. i then stripped it, primed it, and rattlecan'ed flat black and built it up with d-a. it's on velospace.org.

and the newest love of my life which is replacing my guerciotti... my 88 de rosa:
https://bulgier.net/pics/bike/Catalog...8/colors-a.jpg
i have the blu fiera color... it's a 61, which fits me muuuuch better. i'll have pics soon for anyone who cares. i'll put it up on velospace too... slx tubing.... yum.
