Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Spalding frame- any good for conversion?

I saw a Spalding Blade frame at a charity shop for $30.
Im having a hard time saying no to another project-
Anybody heard of this? good? bad?
The dropouts are right for a conversion- thats about
all I looked for in it today.

It's probably junk, but if you want to be sure just go pick it up and see how much it weighs. If it doesn't weight a ton, it might be worth your time for a beater

a friend of mine has a blade he converted to singlespeed, and he absolutely loves it. it's really heavy, but it does what it's supposed to do.
