I am currently wearing those same sneakers in a flashier "colourway." Someone want to call me out on it?

That's funny.
Half the stock Pistas I see riding around have platform pedals and the chain tension of a rope bridge.
I was at a street fair last weekend and stopped one such rider.
Hey nice bike is that a Pista? (decals were removed, stock seat gave it away)
Uh, yea.
Cool, what kind of hubs are those?
Uh, I dont know they came with the bike.
What gear are you running?
Uh, I don't know.
I see, listen I notice you removed the brake.
Uh, yea it's a fixed gear so I don't need one.
Yea, I noticed that too. I also noticed you chain is really loose, that's not too safe you should snug that up when you get a chance.
Uh, OK....rides off into traffic.

Enjoy

I have the same model, so I can tell- the wheels arent stock- they look worse. He turned the fork upside down to raise the handlebars. I doubt this is a bianchi ad.

without as much negativity as it sounds: who cares?

also, if you turn the fork upside down, you'll lower the handlebars quite a bit. and have extremely odd ride characteristics. would anybody with photoshop skills like to illustrate this, please?

powers2b 05-24-06 08:15 AM

While you are at it could you photoshop that bird out.
It's really creeping me out.

Enjoy

stendhalian 05-24-06 08:15 AM

Ok- ha ha ha. I mis-typed and you are all very funny. I meant a Pop Top type stem like this:

The one on the pista angles down, and when inverted will raise the level of the handlebars.

kennethalan 05-24-06 10:08 AM

Are you serious?

Maybe bianchi thinks that cigarettes are cool? I dunno. They don't think celeste is cool anymore, so I question their overall taste.

I don't get all this hoopla over a picture of Kennethalan.

Im all about comfort- im just saying I dont think a bianchi advertisement would show that kind
of adjustment. The bike would appear as stock as possible

mattface 05-24-06 12:42 PM

I don't think a Bianchi ad would feature a skinny skanky skeezbag, but what I don't know about marketing I make up for with alliteration.
