Fixed/Fixed Rear Hub

I was going to buy a used phil fixed/fixed rear hub from a budy and before I buy just want to be sure......

I have a shimano bmx style 17tooth freewheel, can I use it on one side of the fixed...it screws on a little more than halfway, is that enough thread to use it without strippng the threads??

I want to use this hub as 1 side fixed and 1 side as freewheel
