i need a 2-3 br... slightly large for studio space (art/music) near there... know if your landlord has other properties?

mrkott3r 05-30-06 12:47 AM

Per month, most likely. I've never heard of anywhere other than motels that charge a weekly rate.

krillz 05-30-06 08:02 AM

yes that would be by the month.

ill try and find the landlord and see if hes got anything else.
across the street however on spencer st, is a huge old factory theyre renting out, and most the rooms are huge.

There's a handful of apartment complexes in every city that cater to transient folks, drug dealers, street kids hiding out, etc etc.

schwinnbikelove 05-31-06 04:44 AM

Good ole' Toledo for being able to find rent for half that per month.

krillz 05-31-06 06:06 AM

yeah but you got pizza on at least every other corner ?

Aeroplane 05-31-06 06:19 AM

Looks like I got SERVED. Rent in NYC really does suck.

krillz 05-31-06 06:44 AM

around here, 600 a month is really friggin cheap.

econobot 05-31-06 07:45 AM

So let me get this straight. Each one of you in this apartment is paying $600 per week? How much is this property worth?!

EnLaCalle 05-31-06 07:53 AM

I think Krillz made a mistake. If it's $600/week, then he means all 3 combined, which would mean $200/week a piece. There is NO CHANCE AT ALL that an apartment is renting in that location for that much money.

I don't want all you out-of-towners to get the wrong impression. Where he lives I'd estimate that an apartment should cost: 1br ~$1,100-1,500/month 2br: ~$1,400-1,800/mo. 3br ~$1,600-2,400

krillz 05-31-06 09:35 AM

no thats by the month, not the week. the apt is 4 bedrooms at about $600 each per Month.

i didnt mean to say it was by the week. its by the month.

hyperRevue 05-31-06 09:38 AM

God I ****ing love NYC and fully intend to move there in the next couple years.
But damn, I hate living with people.
Okay, gotta get rich.

I used to live near Dekalb and Nostrand (on Pulaski)

glass bottles getting thrown at you by neighborhood kids is awesome!

krillz 05-31-06 01:10 PM

you obviously dont ride fast enough then. =)
naw all playing aside, its not a bad neighborhood. tons of college kids live round hurrr.

$0.00/Gal 05-31-06 01:12 PM

Yeah..that was 2 years ago. I heard that Wburg and the Pratt area is spilling over into that area more and more.

For the record I was walking to get Pizza...not on a bike at the time. Scary ****.
