Soma Double Straps - anyone used them?

Lightly discussed in the laminated straps thread below, but i thought i'd start its own thread for more exposure: has anyone used these straps? at only 40 bucks a pair, they seem like a much more viable option than throwing down double that for the Toshis.

Any helpful opinions are appreciated.

If it makes a difference, I don't think these are laminated.

hate to rehash this thread, but seriously, has anyone tried these?

american cyclery (sf) has 'em for $40.

...or is the $25 more worth it for the errebis?
