Decals - removing & reapplying

I have a keirin frame on which I'd like to remove & preserve the decals so I can repaint the frame and still reuse the decals. Anyone ever try this, have any tips?

take some pictures of the decals and send them to https://velographicdecals.com/. he can print you up a new set for around 40 bucks.

you can't reuse the decals and masking is most likely going to look unprofessional. i second onetwentyeight's suggestion. new decals are the way to go. have your painter apply them under the clear coaet.
