more miche questions
so do miche hubs REQUIRE the miche cog carrier system? or can you throw on a surly cog and lockring like normal?
|
It does not require it.
You can thread on any cog/lockring like normal if you choose. |
not any cog...they have to be either ISO or non-ISO but i can never remember which
|
Yeah, sorry.
Probably ISO, like their crank's taper. |
you can't use just any lockring, they come with a lockring a though
|
would a surly be legit?
|
lockring threading standards:
33.5 mm × 24 TPI Campagnolo, Gipiemme, Phil Wood, Miche 1.29" × 24 TPI Shimano, Suntour, Suzue, Surly, Zipp, Corima 33.0 mm × 1 Mavic http://www.businesscycles.com/tr-refspec.htm#hub |
I don't think so.
I believe you need phil or campy. But I might be wrong. |
thanks for link seasponge
|
EAI cogs work, too.
|
my only qualms w/ my miche hub are the track nuts. too small and its 14mm as opposed to standard 15mm.
yea, and EAI, Phil or Campy cogs work. |

oh damn, for real?
I tried to thread on some 15mm track nut for 30 seconds and it didn't thread on so I just figured the axle to be miche propriatary. haha I think I'll try again. |
I run a surly cog on mine no problem the only difrance is in the lockring thread but like people said it comes with one.
