Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? When the hair on your palms goes away, your search privileges will return.

search hammers the hell out of vbulletin systems if configured in a specific way and if the databases are a little mangled (which these seem to be). if the server lacks significant ram and its configuration files aren't tweaked search also mires down the system. i have a feeling this server is suffering from all of the above.

ok, guys... it's this easy:

go to www.google.com - we've all heard of it.

type in:

(whatever you want to search for) site:www.bikeforums.net "fixed gear"

the first part is your search query (don't put it in parentheses, but put it in quotes if you want to search that exact phrase), the second has to be exactly like that to search only this site, and the third will hit all the pages that have "fixed gear" in it, aka this forum. it's not always 100% accurate, but if you're desparately trying to find something, use this...

best i can do.
