Sugino Mighty Competition (vs. 75?)

Working on a new track build (thanks joelv for the kicka** bareknuckle!!) and I'm curious about old-ish Sugino Mighty Competition cranks. Is the square BB taper indeed different? Like, is a Mighty Competition spindle necessary? Cuz this seems to be a point on contention on web searches. Secondly, are they any good? I like the ol' Campy style aesthetic of 'em, but should I just say f*** it and go for a 75?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

i am under the impression that some of the earlier sugino cranksets indeed use iso tapers (as opposed to the current 75s and such, which use jis). however, i cannot clue you into which years and which specific models do.

I'm still waiting to get a real sug75 spindle to measure, but there's a sizeable community in the bike industry that will tell you the sugino 75 is still ISO. I've installed them on both ISO and JIS bb's with no problems (no bottoming out on the ISO, with a deeper seat at rec'd torque than on JIS.)
