I'm actually working on a new product right now that addresses this issue specifically. I'm at the prototype stage right now, with production a few months off at this point (hopefully). Anyone interested should PM me for more info. I don't want to post too much publicly about it until it's actually done, hence my fairly nebulous post.

i keep my lenses in thick socks and just toss the camera in my bag or wear if i think i'm going to be taking pictures on the bike.
