Velospace monstrosity
|
wow, that's awkward looking.
Like a giraffe or something. |
i like the colors. the only thing wierd about that to me is the stem height. guess someone likes riding upright. i like it.
|
Stem height adds to the built-in awkwardness of a huge frame.
|
Man! first it was threads about FGG and the crazy bikes on there... now we have velospace critiques?! sheeeesh. velospace is a place made by us and for us (same with fgg). if you do or don't like someone's bike, leave them a comment or an email!

I love that he's riding a bike. That's a beautiful thing. I think this board just brings out the inner ****** in all of us. |
Oh, and I love both velospace and the FGG. There shouldn't be anything wrong with discussing bikes on a bike forum, am I right?
|
i really like the mismatched tires, actually. they complement each other nicely and work with the silver and yellow of the frame. I see nothing wrong with the fork, the headtube angles pretty steep. tight clearance is the ****. i stand by the only thing being funny is the stem height.
and this board totally brings out the inner ******. i was kinda bummed when my bike was on fgg no one started a thread talking **** about it. |

I'd just like you all to know that, yesterday, I posted a thread on how much fun I had riding 20 miles fixed. It was just a story about this barge of a ride that just happened with me and my friend. A real simple story about a couple of guys riding their fixed gears. I had half the response to this thread. Just some food for thought...
|
there was probably nothing worthy of argument or response in your story about the ride.
this thread's a bit different as it's a statement of opinion, which is something lots of people respond to. also, its a negative critique which automatically pits people into a defensive/responsive position. |
The guy who rides this is probably big enough to palm your entire face, dangle you over a rooftop one-handed, and then toss you down several stories to the pavement below.
Monstrosity of a ride for a monstrous rider. |
me look at dem peoples bicycles like me look at dere special lady. as ugly as the trick may be, dere be a reason dat somebody like givin em a ride, know what i'm sayin?. so respec! booyakasha!

It's not what you ride, it's how you ride it.

i don't know, it's kind of awesome. i bet the guy is mad tall.
|
What's wrong with having both? |

Now back to the general comment of "bikes are made for riding, not aesthetic value." What's wrong with having both? The particular bike in question looks awkward to me because it's so large. Obviously nothing can be done about that. But in general, a lot of people **** on people who care about how their bike looks. As if people who put thought into the look of their bike aren't serious riders. That's crap. |

The stem looks akward at that height, the fork is either bent or has really tight **** clearance with the DT, and if you want to really nitpick, the tires are mis-matched.
