That's the million dollar question. A friend has a Kompact and it's one of the best helmets I have ever tried on.
I need to go to canada one of these days.

haha yeah, and i wasn't even drinking! i was walking down the stairs and stepped on the bottom step, twisted my ankle which made my leg buckle and i kneed the **** outta the doorframe. suuuuucked.

also, i found out that jeremy shares your space. that's rad. he's a friend of mine. the old tenant, mike law, is too. didn't realize that was the space they were using though.

Jesus ****-balls, those are some spendy helmets.. For sleeky goodness I dig my Limar lots- it's about to recieve a nice flat black sprayjob to cover up the nasty roadie colors. Nice design overall.

EDIT: I was looking at some cracked-out site offering the Kompact for $300-something. At 74 pounds I guess they're along the same lines as the higher-end Giro stuff. I'll still stand by loving the Limar now. I crash too much to trot out a c-note-and-a-half each time I go down.

Bikes: '85 Full Cycle Cycle.

I'd be careful about painting your helmet. Spraypaint liquifies most styrofoams. Being made of goo might compromise a helmet's ability to protect your brain.

i got the limar too, 39 bucks down from like 100$+ (nashbar haha)

and i did the ultra flat krylon job on it too as soon as it arrived. i think it will be ok as long as there aren't any big cracks or holes that the paint can seep into.. i sprayed like 5 coats on it letting each new coat dry completely first. i like it... its batman-ee

Catlike Helmet

Get your Catlike in the USA:

Catlike Helmets, worth every penny..... and they are spendy....

Just read your post, I'm in the process of buying two out of Canada, they will ship to the states:

La Bicicletta
233 West Broadway
Vancouver, BC
tel. 604.872.2424

They don't meet US standards, just Euro standards! Looking at the Whisper Light, should have bought one when I was there.

That is is badass looking helmet Diemos. I wish we knew if the spray paint affected the helmets performance.

You realize this is a 2 year old thread, right?
ChicagoxBoston hasn't posted since november 2006.

While I like La Bicicletta in Vancouver (Campione is better), you really sound like a shill.

Yes, realized the thread was old but thought passing on the info would not hurt as there was no other info on the site about this.

Go easy, ride harder.....
