Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? what would Boonen do...

While I know he should have never been in yellow in the first place, now that he is not I am pissed. That ****er could have stepped his ITT up a little bit to make faux-hawked cyclist happy all over the world.

We all knew Boonen would be out of it, especially once the riders got to the mountains... so McEwen is still in green (as it should be and will remain), so Boonen can *****.

I think Quick Step is looking for a new Director Sportif, you should think about appyling for it. Obviously, Boonen never thought of riding faster to keep the yellow jersey, that is a great strategy. Maybe you should tell him to sprint harder to win a stage sometime as well.

For a sprinter, Boonen performed pretty well in the ITT, and it was his performance in the prologue that made him being in yellow a possibility in the first place.

He's actually not too far from green, but McEwen looks pretty unstoppable at this point.

I'm rooting for Oscar Friere though.

Boonen was actually quoted as saying he won't be vying for the green jersey anymore and that he's more looking forward to trying for some mountain points *scoff*.

Now that is a winning strategy... if you can't get one jersey, go for the other one.

haha

Edgar Davids once famously said he would stop being the aggressive pitbull of a palyer he is, and rely on his techinque in the future. Yeah, right... (Sorry if you're soccer-ignorant.)

Especially if you're a dreadful climber such as Boonen. Oh well, should be interesting to see some mountain "sprints" out of him.
