Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

luckily i was able to straigten out and go around the rear of the car. i think that's where i strained my leg though. right now the top of my left upper thigh, a tendon on the left side of my knee, and my left achilles tendon are sore as hell. i can still ride, but i could never race. ****ing pisses me off

Sorry to here. Glad it's only damage to the rear wheel and not yourself. Or your bike. AS others have said, pursure this as far as possible and hound the police to get on it.

The cops took a report, but who knows how that will go.
You guys should definitely hound the cops. Partial plate + good vehicle description would narrow down the search considerably.

Drunk or college student mass-hole driver? I'm really sorry to hear that Henry. Bring this f*cker down hard. Get on it as soon as possible.

Keep that rim and when you find out where the driver lives, throw the rim through his window w/ a note saying, "See you in court mother****er!"

Goodluck finding the guy. I'm on the hunt as well in Boston having been doored a few days ago. In my case the bike survived but the bones in my hand didn't. Atleast the guy was nice enough to drive me to the hospital before bailing without leaving his information. He seemed so honest i never bothered to write down his plate ... now I wish I had.

That's terrible.

Now go drink real beer, i.e. Guinness. You'll feel much better.

well, looks like that accident threw some good karma my way because my bike won the bike porn contest that was held that night.

Bikes: a DuhRosa

if the police arent proactive you could pull someones info from their plate (or vin) for ~20 bux

dont know how the dps/dmv will comply with only partial plate and using car description to narrow it down, though
