I recently sent an email to the info address cited on IRO's web page. Haven't heard anything back in about four days either. I realize that it is not a large operation and that is part of what attracts me to IRO. It is a bit frustrating, though, because it is not that hard to set up an automatic reply if he happens to be out on business or vacation.

In the meantime I started looking at other options. My local bike shop says they can get a Specialized Langster for $600. It would be the 2007 model, though, and I can't find any specs on the web. Anybody out there know anything about the 2007 Langster?

I just saw one the other day, it looked hot, pretty close to the 2006. I have no specs though.

2007 Langster

The 2006 came with an integrated headset. Did you notice if they still do that on the 2007. I'm still not thrilled with the integrated headsets, but the guy at my local bike shop says they have not had any problems with them.

How you like the Rob Roy? Mine's been trouble free except for the headbadge falling off during the recent t-storms. It's stuck on w/ double sided foam tape. I saw it dangling so I pulled it off and taped it back on later.

There is still this amazing invention called THE TELEPHONE that one can use. I just ordered and received a few things from Tony last week. Let the power of the TELEPHONE be your guide. It works much better than getting on a bike forum and making the shop/etc. out to be something they are not.

if you read the entire post you would see that most of these people did use the telephone and that he was out of town for a week. good try though.

I love it but I haven't gotten to ride it much yet, and I need to swap out the saddle, ****ty temp. pedals I put on it and probably the drop bars. I'll definitely watch out for the badge coming loose.

I'm still waiting to see another one on the road..

Yeah the '07 does have an integrated headset. My friend has an '06 and loves it like a family member. He's had no headset issues, but has only put a few hundred miles in as of yet.

Yeah, once it's setup right, it's the bees ****in' knees. I haven't seen another one yet in person.

I went ahead and ordered a langster from my local bike shop. I figured I wasn't going to hear anything from IRO and prefer to support the locals. I've ridden the Raleigh rush hour and loved it. I also rode a Van Dessel country bob which was a weird ride. I test rode a langster that was too small for me and it felt pretty good, but it is still a little weird to order a bike and not have ridden the exact model. My fingers are crossed and the bank account prepped!

Hope it works out. I was definitely worried getting the iro without test riding one, but it turned out great.
