What length security chain?

Quick question -- what length chain do you folks run when locking up your rides?
I want to pick up some of that mondo-Shwarzenegger-'roid rage` 10mm chain link badness but I want to make sure I have it cut to the right length; don't want to try and do it by myself when I get home. I was thinking maybe an 107-foot length, to rap my entire body and bike with ...
Failing that, maybe a 3-foot length to use with my mini u-lock?

Bikes: all of them.

with a carabeener (sp?/indierockclimber) you can clip it shorter to fit around your waist without having to keep locking and locking blah blah....

I got the kryptonite 3 footer[and some change] and it fits nicely around my waist without a lot of extra links. It would have been nice to get the longer one to go from the front to back wheel, but I also have a mini u-lock.

I just use a skinny-ass hardware store chain. 'round here that's sufficient. Anyway it's about 3 feet long, and fits well around my waist or over the shoulder if I'm in a hurry, and it's barely long enough to go through both wheels provided what I'm locking to is not too thick. If you need to be able to lock both wheels at all times you might want a bit more length, and then just lock it a few links in if you wear it around you waist. I also use an old innertube around the chain to protect my paint. not sure why I don't see that more often. I'd much rather wrap the chain in an innertube than my frame.

three foor (plus three links) of beefy brass chain from the hardware store with my u-lock. i'm thinking about getting one of those chigaco wig cityskins, or failing that i'll just make one.

a section of 26"x2.1" innertube gets the job done for $0. Also I doubt that chain is brass. Brass is a soft metal that would never be used for a heavy chain. It's probably plated with some goldish type stuff to prevent rusting.
