Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bike locks and trust issues.

I have the Kryptonite New York Lock Fahgettaboudit (chain version). A friend of mine claims that she had hers cut. Does anyone have the same story? I was really bummed to hear that, now I'm a lot more worried about my bike. I was hoping there's something out there that works. Maybe the New York Lock U-Lock version? Anyone have theirs cut yet? I've gotten mixed reviews about the tiny back pocket Kryptonite locks, too. Any advice?

any lock can be cut. The goal is just to find a lock that is going to be harder to cut then whatever you are locking too.

and if someone wants your bike bad enough there's no way to stop them from taking it.
