In Boston, where to go?

I'm in Boston for work until Thursday. I managed to sneak my bike on the plane Are there any good bike shops I can check out up here? I'd like to pick up a 1/8 17T cog while I'm here.

Also, any bar to get hammered in will work too I'm at the Hyatt near the common.

well you could check out Boston Bicycle - two blocks from kenmore, decent selection of track parts, and hopefully you'll catch the fixie guys who work there.

there's revolution bicycle off of atlantic ave as well.

I still need to make the trip to revolution. I badly want to have a back wheel built and they stock all the parts that most shops don't.

Harris is excellent. I've never encountered a problem there.

I might be busy but I'd join up later. Give a call. Also, Pixel, if you can part with your extra 15mm tool, I'd give you moolah.

Revolution Bikes isn't that hard to find. Look for the giant painted cyclist on the door, and the bike perched atop the doorframe. Right across the street from the South Station Bus Terminal.

pschmidt: keep an eye on the boston rides thread if you want to ride, and feel free to chime in with what works for you, etc.
