Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Damn, I think that literally that frame would make a dandy boat anchor.

K we're done.
Nice job in getting rid of the vertical drop-outs. I guess you could make a custom litespeed, but the Ghisallo is more flexy than a bike made of jello.

I think the reason you don't see super light fixed frames are that most fixed frames are built for the track, where stiffness is more important than weight. If i recall, the minimum weight for the TdF is about 16lbs, so thats where most of the top of the line road bikes fall.
As for frames, with the exception of the few listed here, usually fixed+road geometry+light weight = Custom.

That pista concept must be an uber light frame as the wheels weight in a 2000g!

A 55 cm Pista Concept with frame and fork is 2.8 pounds... I think. Could be wrong though.

Nice job glazing over the second half of his statement. Reading comprehension, people!

I'd guess that a cannondale track frame (CAAD 5) would be pretty light, i think it was called the Major Taylor

I'm not sure which c'dale frame you mean, but i picked up one of these:

at helen's cycles in santa monica and was amazed by how light it felt. I would guess about 12lbs without pedals.
