Steel or aluminum toe clips
I'm thinking about getting some steel or aluminum toe clips but the only thing that makes me cautious is their durability. Like if you crash or your bike falls over, your clips hit the ground, etc., numerous common situations, aren't your clips likely to get bent and or just snap? Besides this people seem to love toe clips like MKS steel. nashbar is having a combo sale right now, steel clips and leather straps for only 14.99

Steel. much stronger than aluminum. I've only bent clips from accidentally stepping on them when trying to get my foot in the pedals or drunken shenanigans. Just bend em back. besides. steel is shinier. mmm shiny.

This happens too easily with aluminum. The more you bend the weaker they get. And if youre a mammoth like my boy R, youll break them quite often from general use. Jump on that $14 deal. . .

I break Alum toe-clips like Doritos before you buy the bag. I only buy steel and Pringles.
