Naked Frame... What to do?

So I'm in the middle of my fixie project and am having troubles deciding on what to do with the frame... I recently just stripped all the old paint off of it so now its bare metal, i was planning on just polishing it which looks really cool and either clear coating or waxing for rust prevention. But im also tossing around the ideas of chroming or black chromimg the whole frame. Its an old italvega lugged frame, im doin black stem and black handlebars, black deep-v's with black spokes and polished hubs...

Any other ideas to what i should do with the frame? Polish? Chrome? Black Chrome? Anodize?

nickel plate or powder coat. nickel plating looks hawt but you can get black chrome powder coat now if thats your thing. I wouldn't polish and clear, paint doesn't like smooth surfaces.

mmm does she have a sister named fara

dude if you have the money I would say black chrome it ala industrial but don't have em polish it it will be a satin look and it will look very sex

otherwise just powdercoat it thick so it doesn't scratch or chip easy

leave the bare metal look to pistas and aluminum bikes

Bikes: Old ****ed up Cannondale roadie, peice o **** Gitane as a beater, and I use my Nishiki for bike camping

I don't know how much nickel plating costs, but I know my LBS has a good powdercoater that charges $100. I can't imagine that nickel plating or chroming is that cheap. you can get some killer **** with a good powdercoat too, like black ink with pink/gold metal flake and iridescent colors and stuff.

whatever you decide - do it quickly - rust is gonna jump all over your naked frame.

I saw a frame with blinged out parts and the frame was rusty as hell. The guy stripped the frame adn just let the elements do their work. It really looked good.

I've seen some bare lugged steel frames that look sick. I don't know if they treat it with something.
