Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

How To Search This Site

There have been a bunch of "I can't search because the function's broken sorry if this has already been posted" comments in the past little while, so I'm guessing that many of you are unfamiliar with one of Google's handier features: the site specific search.

If you're looking for info on pista vs iro vs langster, go to google and type in:

pista iro langster site:bikeforums.net

And google gives you hits only from this fine website. You can use all of your favorite Google search features (quotation marks for complete phrases, + or - to add or exclude terms, etc, etc) as well.

You'll probably get a bunch of links to archived threads; however, conveniently enough, all of the archived threads have a link (right at the top, no less) to the "real" version of the thread. It's easy. Yay.

it just doesn't seem to do as well as the in-site search. i mean, there you can search by forum, thread title only, etc. but this is good advice, hopefully people will read it.

Actually, I knew about the trick the OP posted. I was hoping someone know how to narrow it down by title, sub-forum and poster.

sticky this in lieu of a search button? if this drops down a couple pages, finding it again, especially for the people who missed it first time around, or newbies or whatever...well, it's not happening.
