Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? barspins on a stock IRO frame/fork

I have a stock IRO frame and fork, I built up the rest. I found a bunch of used tires yesterday in pretty good shape and decided to try them out. one of them was 700x20 which I put up front.

I found I can now do barspins.
or at least its possible on my bike, I'm not really capable of pulling of the trick yet.

anyone else?

I thought you might be implying that I should be smashed between two ups trucks. I'd be happy just to actually be able to do a barspin, all I really meant in the OP was that my bike is capbable of it, with narrow enough tires.

I see where you could get that those ups guys are not so cool when you grab onto their rig and get a lil lift for a minute atleast here they try to run you into cars and pedestrians

does this mean I shouldn't? I'm confused. is this like one of those GI Joe things where knowing is half the battle cause some kid tried to ate an M-80?

Richochet: "hey kids, bikes are serious tools, don't have fun on them ... EVER."
kid: "now I know"
Richochet: "and knowing is half the battle. drop your shants and bend over"
kid: "again?"
