Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Theres no way that was 1992. Not enough neon. Not a single car made after 1984.

From: south side, you got a problem with that?
two things:
it embarrasses me that i started messengering that year (though i, too, think the footage must be older than 1992).

why was everyone standing when riding? is that a west coast thing?

oh yeah, one more thing:
there wasn't one single speed or fixed gear in that whole video --but i guess that's the way it goes nowadays on these forums.

yo, those cats are the for real ****. Sorry that it's not a bunch of college kids and designers standing around jerking each other off over their color-coordinated IRO builds, I know that's what y'all like.

Real old school messengers rock basket bikes and denim, motherf*ckers. Show some damn respect!!
