hey boston!

so two nights ago i was arrested outside of the middle east. the cops let my friends take my bike home, but for some reason decided to take my custom freight backpack. needless to say when i made bail and came back to get my stuff my bag was m.i.a. it had my nextel, ipod, tools, and a ton of manifests for work in it. i dont know what they did with it, possibly just trashed it when they realized that there was nothing in there they could use to add to the charges.

if you guys could keep an eye out for a grey and navy blue freight baggage backpack that would be great. im out of work now until nextel gets my new phone to me.

thanks in advance, and watch out for those crooked cops!

did you get the arresting officer's name and/or badge number? file numerous complaints and take the department for loss of money(manifests=proof of deliver, correct?) and work time(no nextel=no work). then listen to NWA really really loud.

Never been arrested, but isn't there usually a manifest of your belongings?

reunited and it feels so good....

so i went to the station and asked about my bag again, i got the runaround.

then when i asked to file a complaint about missing property, the clerk told me to hold on one minute, and then returned with my bag and all of its contents.

amazing. this is one huge weight lifted off my shoulders.

absolutely.

i wish they had better things to do on a weds. night than arrest drunk messengers. 5 cruisers for 4 guys on bikes. total of 10 cops.

rediculous.

HiFi's pizza has been going downhill lately.

if only we had got into the boris/pearls and brass show none of this would have happened.

"HiFi's pizza has been going downhill lately."

I've never heard of a HiFi pizza that had anywhere to go but up, but the one time it is edible is right about when drunkenly throwing road cones at traffic seems like a good idea too.

glad to hear you got your stuff back. when my brother came in for the weekend he got bagged on something silly (3 cops arrested him for trespassing when he was trying to find a bathroom in a NU building) they just took his college id. while nowhere near all the stuff you had, it was a pain for him because he couldn't get into his dorm. wack.

is it me or have the Cambridge Police been hanging out in the immediate area of the Middle East a lot lately? seems like whenever I'm riding by at night there's a car or officer hanging out at that end of Central Sq. waiting for something to happen.

Well, their station is only a couple blocks north of the MidEast, and that stretch of Green St & Mass Ave has a lot of hookers and addicts. Lived about 50' away from the MidEast for a year and believe me when I say that the police presence there is definitely a plus for the neighborhood.
