Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

i never though I'd see the day that Honeyee is talked about on Bikeforums, but I guess it was inevitable. One of the dudes who runs that website and is in those pictures is Hiroshi Fujiwara, basically if you looked in a dictionary under "japanese streetwear" you'd probably see his name his done collabos with Nike, runs Headporter, etc etc. He's really really REALLY rich, Ferraris, Bentleys, Benz, hes got it.. so it was a bit jarring at first to see him riding a track bike..
I check out this blog occasionally and it tripped me out recently that he was rockin a fixed gear, and they lately they've figured in prominently in his entries...

It's "Shino" special. As far as I remember it wasn't modfied aero bar attachment. When he got Kalavinka tried a drop bar but had many response from his pal it wasn't like him so he backed it on it. btw, this guy is fast. I believe it was his first alleycat in NYC got 10th at KING OF ****ING STREETS last year. #1 at Tokyo various alleycats, #1 at 2005 KYOTO LOCO.

Actually the guy with the Manhattan Portage jersey is SHINO and the guy with the Skid and Destroy shirt is YOSHI. They are both monsters on the street. HAI DOZO
