Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

well there is a missing hydrogen bomb somplace off the coast of Tybee Island[18 miles east of Savannah]. Missing since 1958, so if you need the hardware, you might want to start there.

hrm,

i'm not sure i like where this is going. i suppose that's because i'm as big a ******bag as about anyone on here from time to time, but i don't mean anything by it. i just like to get a rise out of people in an innocuous sort of way. i can't say what dutret's motivations are, but there's a possibility that his bikeforums persona, and who he is in real life are different.

Bikes: A couple customs and some beaters.

Dutret seems better informed about cycling in general than a lot of posters here. He's a gadfly and knows his ****, so he's naturally hated.

You guys should hold a fundraiser to ban him. The last thing this particular forum needs is another Helmet Head. The guy sucks, but remember, if you nuke it you take out Serendipper and a couple others. Audi.

Oddly enough, it's very possible to be both well-informed and a total asshat. For instance: Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, etc.

dutret might know his ****, but - like most cops - he needs to work on his people skills a bit or at least learn when to just shut the **** up.

Yes, a large portion of what they(rush in particular) say is factually incorrect. They claim to be well informed and can easily pull it off since thier audience is even less well informed then they are. However, bull****ting and not getting called on it is not the same as being well informed.
