SOMA double toe straps. street capable?

https://www.thebikebiz.com/product_p/trk-acc-soma01.htm

I've had no experience with soma stuff. I am looking at these double's due to the price compared to the erribi/mks/etc. doubles.

Am i asking for a problem. You get what you pay i know but hopefully this could be a simple exception.

Also, could these be velo worthy? I havnt ridden on the drome in a long time but i just might head over for some fun some friday.

Those whove tried these let me know.

laminated vs. non laminated doesn't mean all that much; its the quality and age overall that makes the difference, lamination is just a bonus... I've historically had unlaminated toe straps last longer because the laminated ones tend to de-laminate and then snap...

Not really, there was little to no discussion about the Somas.

That is my point fellas....I have been looking to get doubles for a while now and have yet to see a review of the somas, hence, I am thinkin they aren't very good or the best kept secret ever.

You're clearly a glass half empty kinda guy.

you could just as easily have said: "in another thread nobody had anything bad to say about them... as I recall"

Let us know in three months...I always stayed away cause of the price point, cheap single straps have always sucked, but I ride them tight usually so they get more wear and tear.
