Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

i rode with clipless since i started riding a fixed gear, but i recently switched to clips. i like the way it feels. for some reason, i feel less connected to the pedal when im using clipless pedals. once you get used to skipping and skidding with the straps, and once your trackstanding becomes impeccable, there really isnt that much of a difference. so i guess if you dont want to put all that effort into it, its not really worth it. i crashed recently cos i unclipped accidentally, so maybe that has something to do with it. but i also like the fact i can wear whatever shoes i want, and dont have to clomp around in my (admittedly relatively comfortable) dominators.
but to each his own.
