PDC wants it, I want it....

How about some luv for your forum pals in Portland?

Serendipper 10-03-06 02:01 PM

That would be awesome!

That way I could kill two birds with one stone...or at least the two birds can get stoned after the show...yeah, or something like that!;) :D

visitordesign 10-03-06 02:17 PM

so... those commercials--"what happens in vegas stays in vegas"...

they're a lie?

12XU 10-03-06 02:22 PM

Umm...why keep the show on the west coast? MIDWEST, MAN!

zerobug 10-03-06 02:27 PM

PDX loves us some bikes. Come on, more strip clubs per capita than anywhere else, tons of frame building talent is local to the NW, and there's lots of bars with good scotch.

Serendipper 10-03-06 02:35 PM

^^^Don, you know Atlanta is the convention capital of the world. There are dozens of halls here, I'm sure with my network we can find you a place here. I've done more than a few cost effective events, all succesful.

Let me know.

freebird 10-03-06 02:44 PM

Dare I say, Portland kicks SanJo's ass in almost every way imaginable.
West Coast wise, I would think it's an almost ideal spot for your show.
Consistantly rated in the top spot as a "bicycle friendly" town, and it's probably just as close for most of the talent as the BA.
Oh yes, and titty bars.

DW

Including Faster Moustache? About 25-26 people.:D

Seriously, though, the core is growing. Give us two years, and it would be perfect.

Serendipper 10-03-06 02:56 PM

Atlanta has some wicked hooters to bribe you with. No money needed.

Aren't the component vendors supposed to foot the bill? I thought that was the point of tradeshows in any industry.

Retem 10-03-06 03:48 PM

dw don't leave sanjose you got phil and paul and eai and all of us here in nor cal man if you take the show on tour may I suggest minneapolis or chicago. pdx and maybe seatac for the north west. ya gotta go to phily or nyc for the east coast.

or you could bring the show to sacramento :)

Cynikal 10-03-06 03:57 PM

2 votes for Sac (but I'm lazy) ;) . Are you locked down for San Jose this spring? I don't want to miss this one.

Retem 10-03-06 04:07 PM

ya know dw is still reppin hard for sacto gansta style

Cynikal 10-03-06 04:11 PM

The joke is that our Jail looks better than the hotels in the city. As a planner, there are several joke to be made about Sac.

in Atlanta it's hard to say...you may be correct...where I'm at in Spartanbug SC....little podunk town between Atlanta and Charlotte we are going for the "Bike Friendly" designation by some freakin advocacy group...I don't do the politics...we got an honorable mention and more than likely will get it by the 2008 goal....Atlanta to me is pretty bike friendly....I throw one on Amtrak on my way down all the time and have little problem getting around.

Charlotte mmmmm probably a bit harder to do...but it might fly. We have a ***** airport here in Greenville/Sp'burg...or I'd really plug us

Retem 10-03-06 04:12 PM

yeah well we could put don up at the brick house or off the grid where he can drink and smoke and party all day and all night

Retem 10-03-06 04:22 PM

dw when you come to town man we are all gunna go bar hoppin and smoke cigars or well me and my pipe (tobacco)

get better man

we have had alot of fires in the foothills and the smoke has settled into the valley
and not to mention we have been dry since may

Cynikal 10-03-06 04:26 PM

Yo Don, when are you coming back to the homeland (read Sac)? I heard talk that you wanted to join us on the drum bike ride.

Edit: It scares me when Tom and I are on the same wavelength

Retem 10-03-06 04:29 PM

littlefoot 10-03-06 04:36 PM

***** I'd be willing to brave Sac again for the show....San Jose is in the works if my kid sister follows he ebaying boyfriend out that way....

But I honestly belive the show could work down south with a little planning...

Pornland works as well...

Cynikal 10-03-06 04:38 PM

I'm always down to hang out with Glen. Not big on the cigars but I can deal.

sers 10-03-06 04:43 PM
