Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Looking for bars.

They are the drop bars the go like straight down fast, and steep. I can't seem to find them anywhere. Does anyone know were I can get them, or have any pics of them on a bike? Here's a picture of the shape from the front view.

No, not exactly, but pretty close. I used to race with a guy in San Jose who had them. Those bars in that photo are probably a custom job. Finding the originals of those types of bars would be a very costly endeavor. I think that type of bend went out of style in the early 1900's. I could be wrong on that though. The SOMA's are pretty similar and easily available.

Yeah I gotta make sure I read all the responses, not just the OP.

You better be makin' the most *****in' pair of flip'n'chops, or else you're never going to touch the drops without a +45 deg stem.

Doshkel, you could tighten the locknuts on your front wheel in those drops. Somebody find a picture of the most dropped front end they can find. There is some current Elite track cyclist that uses a crazy drop, I forget his name.
